The Single-Footing Horse is a North American horse that was developed bred, judged, and owned by trail riders. These horses come in all colors and color patterns as well as all sizes. The Single-Footing Horse is used for the pleasure trail, competition trail, working trails, and has the versatility owners need and want. These horses have many great qualities such as stamina, obedient, willing temperament, common sense, excellent range in gait and smoothness at all speeds. The Single-Footing Horse has a gait that is close to evenly timed four beat intermediate gait with a smooth ride at speeds from 5 to over 20 miles per hour at a smooth ride. These horses have good conformation and are attractive light breed horses. A lot of these horses are able to perform more than one smooth riding gait. The Association for which these horses belong, does not penalize a horse for what they cannot do but rewards them for what the can.
