The Gypsy Vanner originated in England. This particular breed was developed a half a century ago by a mixture of Freisian, Shire, Clydesdale, and Dales. The Gypsy Vanner was used to pull the gypsy caravans and riding. The Gypsy Vanner has a compact body with a broad chest, heavy hips and ample hooves. The Gypsy Vanner has a very patient and quiet with a calm temperament. These horses excel in areas of competition such as driving, dressage, and jumping.
